Dog Shows

The Dallas Boxer Club holds two American Kennel Club (AKC) back-to-back sanctioned specialty shows in the Spring and one AKC sanctioned "B" Match. The specialty dates are variable and are usually held in March and/or September. The specialty shows contain both sweepstakes classes and regular classes and are superintended by Onofrio Dog Shows.

A sanctioned "B" match, also known as a "puppy match", can also be held to introduce new puppies to the show ring.

As lovers and breeders of this wonderful breed we strive to continually improve the breed in health, temperment and all the other qualities that make our chosen breed unique. One of the guidelines that is used is the the ABC Code of Ethics. This tool provides a sound guideline for all breeders to follow in their breeding programs. Another tool that is used in working to improve the breed is the breed standard description. This standard provides a detailed description of the 'perfect' boxer and all dedicated breeders strive to breed a boxer that comes as close as possible to this description.
